A New England Chapter is Formed

A new rudimental drumming club is being formed as an associate chapter to The United States Association of Rudimental Drummers (USARD). The new organization will be named, The Rudimental Drummers Club of New England (RDCNE).
As with the parent organization, the RDCNC will endeavor to promote the art of rudimental drumming through education, communication and performance.

Gary Gillotti will be coordinator of the club. The inaugural meeting of the RDCNE will be held at 1:00 PM, November 15, 2009 at the American Legion facility in Granby, MA. Granby Massachusetts, which is in the Springfield area, was chosen for its centrality to the most populous part of New England. This first meeting will be introductory: learning from attendees which directions the organization should take.

The new club is open to all interested in rudimental drumming. Although not mandatory, members will be encouraged to join the United States Association of Rudimental Drummers.
